Društvo Mlada akademija bo letos že šestnajstič zapored podelilo nagrado “Mentor leta”, ki je namenjena najboljšim slovenskim mentorjem in mentoricam doktorskih študentov.
Pravico do predlaganja svojega mentorja oz. mentorice imate v skladu s 5. členom Pravilnika (PDF), vsi doktorski študenti, ki ste vpisani vsaj v 3. letnik doktorskega študija, in nekdanji doktorski študenti, ki ste že zaključili doktorski študij in od dneva zagovora doktorske disertacije do zaključka razpisa nista minili več kot dve leti (torej ste doktorirali po 16. 3. 2023).
Svojega mentorja oz. mentorico lahko predlagate tako, da izpolnite vlogo v obliki spletnega obrazca (kliknite na povezavo). Vloga je razdeljena na dve strani: na prvi strani vnesete podatke o vas in vašem mentorju oz. mentorici, na drugi strani pa sledi sedem vsebinskih vprašanj. Več informacij, vključno s pravilnikom (PDF), lahko najdete na podstrani Mentor leta.
Na angleški podstrani Mentor of The Year lahko najdete tudi vlogo v angleškem jeziku in angleški pravilnik (PDF).
Rok za vložitev nominacij je nedelja, 23. marec 2025 (podaljšano, prvotni datum 16. marec). Nagrado bomo podelili na zaključni prireditvi, ki jo bomo v sodelovanju z Agencijo za znanstvenoraziskovalno in inovacijsko dejavnost RS (ARIS) organizirali tekom letošnjega leta.

Mentor of the year 2024 – call for nominations
This year, the Young Academy of Slovenia (Društvo Mlada akademija) will present the 16th award “Mentor of the Year” for the best Slovene doctoral mentors.
The right to nominate their mentors is limited to all PhD students who began their doctoral program in 2022 or earlier, and to the PhD holders who defended their theses in 2023 or later.
According to the Article 5 of the Mentor of the Year Award Rules(PDF) the call is open to all PhD students who are enrolled in at least the 3rd year of doctoral studies, and former PhD students who have already completed their doctoral studies and no more than two years have passed from the day of the doctoral dissertation defense to the end of this call for proposals (i.e., you obtained your doctorate after 16.3.2023).
You can nominate your mentor by filling out the online form (click on this link). The questionnaire is divided into two parts: the first part includes the information about you and your mentor, while the second part contains seven descriptive questions.

The deadline is Sunday, March 16, 2025. The award will be given at the closing ceremony in May and will be organized in collaboration with the Slovenian Research and Innovation Agency (ARIS).
